NibVault catalogues fountain pens and inks, including specifications, condition, acquisition details, photographs, notes, fills, bottle levels, maintenance history, ratings, storage locations and wanted items.

No. There is no NibVault registration, login or remote collection account.

Create a custom record and enter only the details you know. You can also use Settings > Catalogue updates > Suggest an addition or correction to send the exact reference details you want reviewed.

NibVault can check monthly while the app is open, or whenever you tap Check for updates. Downloads update only the predefined pen and ink reference data; they never replace or upload your own collection.

NibVault is available on the App Store for iPhone and iPad, and on Google Play for Android phones and tablets. No beta invitation is needed.

Your collection database and photographs stay locally within NibVault. If you opt into Collection Sync, an app-private copy is also stored in your own iCloud account on Apple devices or Google Drive account on Android. NibVault does not receive it.

Optionally. iPhone and iPad can sync through the same iCloud account; Android devices can sync through the same Google account. Apple and Android do not sync directly with each other. Use a complete NibVault backup when moving ecosystems.

Yes. NibVault opens your device's file chooser, where you can select iCloud Drive, Google Drive or another installed storage provider. NibVault does not receive the file.

Active and archived pens and inks, photographs, fill history, pairing notes and ratings, maintenance records, care reminders, storage locations, wishlist items and app settings are included in the portable NibVault backup.

NibVault validates the backup and shows a preview before replacing the current collection. Save a complete backup of your current collection before restoring another one.

Yes. Import CSV or Excel files, choose a sheet and link each source column to the appropriate NibVault field. Columns you do not need can be marked Do not import.

Yes. Export pens, inks, fill history and Care records in CSV or Excel format. Multiple selected sections become separate sheets in an Excel workbook.

A link contains the selected pen or ink specifications for review and import. It excludes photographs, purchase details, favourites, archive state and current inking status.

A physical label contains product details and a private label identity. Your nickname, price, condition, notes, photographs and local record identity are excluded. Your own label opens its record and quick actions. Another collector can review the product before creating a fresh collection or wishlist entry.

Yes. Create a polished PDF record or a social card and share it through any service offered by your device.

Pens and inks can each have a private rating. You can also rate a particular pen and ink pairing and add notes to its fill history, because a good pen and a good ink do not always make a good combination.

Create locations that match your real collection, such as Cabinet > Drawer 2 > Blue pen case. Locations can be nested, assigned to pens or inks and carried through backup, sync and spreadsheet exports.

Yes. Search and home-screen quick actions open common tasks quickly. On iPhone and iPad, private Apple Spotlight results can open your owned pens and inks directly.

Yes. Add multiple photographs from the camera or photo library. You can choose a collection cover or keep the standard pen or ink icon instead.

Recorded fills can reduce the estimated bottle level using the amount entered. You can also correct the remaining percentage manually at any time.

Log cleaning, flushing, inspections, nib work, repairs and professional servicing, including the date, who performed it, cost, condition changes and notes.

Yes. Choose a date and time for a Cleaning or Rotation reminder and NibVault schedules a local notification on your device. No account or cloud notification service is involved.

NibVault is publicly available on Google Play for compatible phones and tablets in supported countries. No beta invitation is needed.

Your Google account may still be enrolled as a tester. To leave, open NibVault in Google Play and choose Leave under You’re a beta tester. Make a complete NibVault backup before uninstalling or reinstalling; uninstalling can remove local collection data.

Android uses your Google Drive; iPhone and iPad use iCloud. These do not sync directly with each other. Transfer between platforms with a complete NibVault backup.

No. You download through Google Play without a NibVault account. Google sign-in is needed only if you choose to enable Google Drive collection sync.

Yes. NibVault does not use advertising, subscriptions or paid feature unlocks.

It is an intentionally light-hearted, private summary of recorded spending and collection value. The totals stay concealed until you choose to reveal them.

No. Because the collection is stored locally and NibVault has no copy, support cannot retrieve it. Keeping a complete backup somewhere safe is strongly recommended.
